Throughout her life, she thought music was her greatest passion and gift…but she discovered a natural talent for conveying moods and atmospheres through oil painting creating timeless expressions. A new PASSION was born with a simple objective: to evoke a good memory – soothe the anxious heart – provoke a smile. This is Lady Jane’s greatest source of satisfaction.

Once upon a time...
It all began...
... on a train traveling from Las Villas to Havana, where Juanita first heard the sound of applause as passengers cheered her arrival into the world! Her mother was a dancer and her dad a Naval Officer, but it was her grandparents who provided music lessons and a home atmosphere that embraced her musician friends. The future Lady Jane began her career singing with the group “Tacita” (Teacup) while attending Miami Senior High School. The group made some style changes giving way to “Conjunto Imágenes” (Images) where she first performed Tropical music. When she was approached by the founders of Orchestra America to be their lead singer, the adventure was too exciting to pass. It was very rare for Latin Bands of that era to have a female lead, yet her powerful voice and insightful interpretation of lyrics, made her a natural in an otherwise male dominated environment.
THE EVOLUTION....
After many years as a popular radio announcer and lead singer, she discovered that moods, feelings and even points of view can be expressed on canvas. A new passion was born. Using the finest oils, and her imagination... a new form of artistry was revealed, almost effortlessly. Art lessons followed, and even more insight was revealed in her paintings.
THE Inspiration
for the most part -- Life...nature...travels...and even a touch of pain here and there come together to express a very specific, or a very subjective moment in time. Even when she was 'alone' her belief that God would not abandon her made it possible to forge ahead, revealing His caring and love through all types of emotional weather.
